Oh my god!!! This is perfect!!!
The cover page can be painted too, which you can see in the photo that I attached.
I used very dark colours and many layers of blending within a short time - yet there's zero bleedthrough! ZERO!!! How's that even possible. I'm so excited. The markers are painting super smoothly on this paper and the blending works perfectly. Even pencils have an easy time drawing on top of the finished artwork. This book is perfection and I need a million more to use with alcohol markers forever.
Fabulous! Loving it extremely! The quality is insaneeee, the markers work so beautifully on the paper. When I ordered this I was NOT expecting such high quality. My cheap alcohol markers work and blend so smoothly on this as well. I am already excited and waiting for my ohuhu markers to arrive 🥹 though my one complain with this is how it had dents when it arrived. That hurts I like my sketchbooks looking clean and neat with no dents especially on the side. Also I want to appreciate ohuhu's support team, I've never interacted with a customer support who's actually responsive and tries to actually solve your problems.
I’ve been using ohuhu for almost a year now and I just recently got their bleed proof marker pad and it’s the best!! I can use the ohuhu markers on both sides! I’ve always been trying other brand but I wanted to use a sketchbook to the best of my ability and on both sides, but I never found one until ohuhu! Thank you so much for affordable prices and still being good quality materials!!
The paper is pretty okay. If you don't mind the fact that it's grey & on the thinner side. When you use a lighter tone Ohuhu marker, the surface of the paper makes the ink appear almost translucent. It gains its usual color only after like 5-10 seconds. Besides that, the paper is decent, and you can indeed use your markers on both sides. It doesn't bleed through.
Yes, you see these in other reviews because I used many pieces at once. It is lovely and works with acrylic ink too. The mermaid is a water based ohuhu marker. Being water based, it did buckle after many layers leaving the other side not usable as I would like. It didn't bleed through though. The acrylic marker too caused buckling, but otherwise good. Not as much as the water based markers. These are best for alcohol markers if you want to use both sides, otherwise, you never have to worry about the next page being damaged
I received this along with the 72 set of alcohol markers for Christmas, and am very very happy with both!
The marker pad lives up to it's promise of being truly double sided without the pages being obnoxiously thick. I also really appreciate the longer and more visible dry time - the grey-tone to the colors (more so with lighter colors) makes figuring how long I have remaining to blend while it's still wet, or if I still need to wait to layer, much less anxiety inducing. The "tips for usage" slip is also very helpful as a swatch sheet, as it's made of the same paper as the pages of the pad.
The only gripe I have with the pad is it's advertised cover customization. While I'm sure acrylic paint based art materials would work great for this, alcohol markers do not due to the cover's glossy texture/finish. It pools at the point where the marker tip initially meets the cover, and leaves streaks like watercolor paints do when mixed with too much water. It doesn't rub off once dry, but any attempt to layer simply reactivates the ink and creates more streaks as you move around the ink already down. This was a tad disappointing (I had some ideas I won't be able to execute now), but expected given the surface texture, and I do fully intend to customize the cover with stickers I design myself. :)
All in all, I am quite happy with this marker pad and look forward to creating with the pad and markers!
I thought that all marker pads were the same. Until I started using this marker pad.
First of all, the color development is better than other afternoon marker pads, and the slow drying makes it feel like using paint.
Also, I was surprised that the back was really clean. Even though I layered it several times. Just in case, I drew on the back and checked the front, and the front was really clean. After I use up this marker pad, I plan to buy it in bundles later. Thank you.
The fact that it’s double sided blows my mind! And the paper works in a printer so you can print coloring pages and color on good quality paper. Blending is much easier. Amazing!
I don't use markers in my art, but these worked out way better than I thought they would, even on my own paper.
The marker paper was a great surprise! I was not expecting it to work as well as it did. There was absolutely no bleed-through onto the opposite side of the page. The two girls were done on the opposite side of the page of each other and there was no bleed through to the other side at all.
I am amazed at how well the paper worked. I even tried to make it bleed through on a different page with no effect to the opposite side.
The paper is good although I need it to not absorb the ink from the marker so much, there is another ohuhu pad that absorbs less and works a little better for me
Very good product!
It is a big change from usual sketchbooks, the ink does not react the same way so you have to get used to it, but the fact that it is bleedproof is so good!
The only problem for me is that the pages come off very easily and I would prefer if they were more solidly attached.
Truly works! I was very skeptical about the claim that this paper does not bleed through, especially because my style of coloring involves very heavy layering. I'm so happy to announce that this paper 100% works as advertised and will be buying more. Get it!
I really like this sketchbook there's no bleed through at all, I also like how you you can design your own cover.I hope to see different sizes in the future 😊😄
The paper is smooth and strong. I thgought that the gluebound would tear of easily, but it really is glued on nicely that you wont accidentally rip the paper of. It really doesnt bleed through and you can use markers on both sides.
I was skeptical but this sketchbook really is double-sided and I layer a LOT. I love that don't have to waste extra sheets and I can swatch on the backside of a finished piece.
I am left handed so I despise spiral notebooks. However, I was also skeptical about this version keeping the paper in tact when flipping the pages. It handles that fine as well.
You can color on the cover but it doesn't seem to handle the same as the pages inside.
I would definitely buy again.
I only tested it for blending and that feels good. I using my other Ohuhu paper Ohuhu Marker Pads Art Sketchbooks for Markers. I think the new one is even better then the pads Art Sketchbook. I loved all Ohuhu paper .
I discovered Ohuhu a few years ago and was very pleased with the quality of their markers, so when I found out, through a sponsored video, that they also did marker paper sketchbooks that were completely bleed-proof I wanted to give them a try. It was just as advertised and there was no bleeding whatsoever. With being bleed-proof the sketchbook will last a long time with basically 120 pages. Also markers slide very easily on the paper. I've never used any marker paper just as good as this and I'm absolutely in love with it.
I got this particular paper for my son. He has been using the Honolulu S line markers for about 6 months and is now getting started with Nahuku markers. This paper works wonderfully for both alcohol and acrylic markers, and he goes through much less paper since it is double sided. Added bonus that he can tear the sheets off himself to display on our fridge. :)
The paper feels real nice really nice quality and not leak proof if you are looking for nice quality paper for a decent price this is a good product to buy plus have it double sided is a nice touch love ohuhu product always a great price with great quality!
I absolutely love this paper quality! It's so smooth and all the art supplies I've tried so far just glide over it so easily. Definitely bleedproof, so I recommend this for sure. I've tried a few brands of colored pencils, of course my ohuhu markers, watercolor, acrylic paint markers, multiple types of ink. And I absolutely love that this lays completely flat when open.
